is it possible to view the output of a DAQmx virtual instrument?

I am simulating a PXI-6259 whilst waiting for hardware to arrive. I am producing a digital output I am turning on and off in order to produce a square wave. Is it possible for me to monitor the output of the simulated instrument in order to verify that it is being created successfully?

No, you won't be able to do that. All inputs of simulated DAQ devices are random.
